Runners and walkers can enjoy the Cancer Wellness Walk (Sept 8, mreed@southernonline.org); the Race to Restore (Sept 15, www.wellspringliving.org); Run From Domestic Violence (Sept 28, www.promiseplace.org); the Walk to End Alzhiemer’s (Newnan – Sept 29 & Peachtree City – Oct 6, southernalzwalk.org); OM 5K Run (Sept 29, omusa.org); Run the Farm for FOCUS (Sept 29, www.focus-ga.org); and Griddle Gallop (Oct 27, www.christiancity.org).

If you’re up for an exciting day of paddling, try the Dragonboat Races and International Festival (Sept 22, www.peachtreecityrotary.org). Or if you like being in the woods, there’s October Outdoors at The Bend (Oct 13, www.bendfriend.org) at Chattahoochee Bend State Park in Coweta County.

And several weekends offer fairs and festivals like Powers Crossroads Festival (Sept 1-3, www.powerspavillion.com); Shakerag Arts & Crafts Festival (Sept 15, www.peachtreecity.org); the Coweta County Fair (Sept 20-29, www.cowetacountyfair.org); Tryone Founder’s Day (Sept 21-23, www.tyrone.org); and Cruisin’ to the Oldies Car Show (Sept 29, enjoysenoia.com).
